Second generation... Carrying on!!!

hey everyone! holy cow this week has been amazing! Its so amazing to see what the windows of heaven bring to our lives every week! So I didn't get transfered :) I am still here in 중앙! 얘!!! and my comp is still elder Hill! we are being blessed here so much and so when i called president and asked him to please let me stay one more he said ok one more but ill have to leave after that:) YES!!!! haha awh i love this ward! I have been here for so long and seen so many miracles and growth in both people and the ward in general! :) but guess what! so this week one of the elders got transfered out and a Korean moved into the house. his name is 김영찬 장로님. and the coolest thing!!!!...... his dad is 김용태! I know all of you guys are like no big deal... i dont know who that is....haha but catch this.....김용태 was my dad's companion when he served here in korean 20 years ago!!!! so sweet!!!!! :) awh 김영찬 is already like a best friend to me! he is so great! and it is so cool to see us in the same house he and i being the eldest son of our fathers who served together as APs here! so crazy! :) haha anyways....well this week has been great! the ward is absolutely amazing and we are learning so much. It is going to be so hard to leave here in a few weeks when the next transfer comes. I have grown and learned a ton here! anyways i hope you all have an amazing week and remember that our heavenly father knows everything he is with us every moment of everyday and no matter what he is going to take care of us and give us what he knows is best for us. Everyone of us comes to points in our lives where we face several doors, not sure which one we should open, or where to go. Let us all follow our savior, take the doors he opens for us, and continue with faith, and diligence. For through him we truly can do all things. Through him we truly can return to live with our father in heaven and our families for ever! I love you all and hope you have an awesome week!

True relationships and Pics!

Oh my goodness this week flew by soooooo fast! its crazy! We got transfer calls today! I am so blessed to get to stay here again with Elder Hill! :) We are so busy and have so much going, i can't wait to see what this transfer brings! :) also to make it even better! A korean is coming to be companions with the other elder in my house! You know what that means?....I am only speaking korean every day this transfer!!!!:) 대박!!!! hahah anyways things are going so great over here! We have been so blessed! The ward here is the best! And i can't wait to serve with them more! Something i have been reflecting on this week is how powerful relationships are. In korea, as i have probably mentioned before, relationships(particularly 정) is extrememly important. I have been so blessed to have been able to met, be around, associate, create friendships, and be surrounded by such amazing friends and family! One of the greatest blessings our father in heaven gives us is our family. They play such an essential role in our lives, who we become, how we cope with challenges, and can be our source of faith, hope, strength, love, and companionship. So much strength then comes from whom we associate with ourselves.  whom can we trust? To whom can we turn to? Whom shall we rely on? Consequently these are all questions we face in our lives amongst our challenges, our struggles, and times of need. Often times the answers to these questions can cause tramatic differences upon the outcome of our future. I have seen this so much! Particularly since having come out on my mission. First in how people have influenced and guided me to making this choice to come and experience all the blessings that come from a mission, and secondly to see how other people (investigators and members) here constantly turn to others in time of need. I have such a strong testimony! the answer to these questions undoubtably are Christ! We can always trust him, we can always turn to him, and we can always rely on him. He has become my base and it has brought so much joy and strength to my life and i know it can bring so much joy and strength to the lives of all of those around the world! He always knows what is best for us! He understands the big picture so carefully! As i have come to rely on him so much every day i have been able to come closer to him, to realize his tender mercies on a more day to day basis. I have been strengthened and edified by his love! I am so grateful to have been able to come on a mission. It has opened my eyes to something much more wonderful, something much more desirable than anything simply this world can offer. As we all make steps through our lives let us make ever step in the footsteps of our lord. For he is our shepard and he knows the way back to eternal joy! I love you all so much and hope you are blessed in your endeavours as well as your advent to creating a stronger relationship with your father in heaven and your brother, even Jesus Christ!
Love you All!

Happy New Year!

It was wonderful to Skype with Tyler for Christmas, what a treat! He looked good and sounded great! His Korean has come along amazingly, I'm sure he'll have to give me some pointers now! Here is his New Year letter, thankfully he didn't make translate the whole thing! Enjoy!

새해 복 많이 받으세요!!!! 와 이미 새해요???? 시간이 토끼보다 갔어요! (The time has passed faster than a rabbit) 한 일년 전 제가 MTC에서 있었지만 지금 한국 백성 가운데 예수 그리스도의 충만한 복음을 전파하고 있어요!  (A year ago I was in the MTC now I'm in the midst of the Korean people proclaiming the true gospel of Jesus  Christ!) 작년 많이 배웠는 데 금년에 더 배울거에요!!!! (I've learned a lot this past year, and will continue to learn this year!!!) Ok ill switch into english so dad doesn't have to translate my whole letter :) but be ready dad im plannin on sending one in korean soon :) haha anyways things here are going just as awesome as ever! The ward has set up tons of goals and plans for how to do better missionary work and have committed that it wont turn into a 용두사미! (korean for a big start and a small finish i.e Dragons head lizards tail.) I think that that is probably the most important thing about goals that i have learned this year. I wish i had more time to talk about it all. This week i really ran out of time fast cuz i had to take care of a few things that came up mid email time :) haha so ill have to send more next time. But I just wanted to wish everyone a super amazing year and share a secret i have learned  this year that has really made me learn a ton! :) The secret to goals, and accomplishing more than you thought possible. Step one assess your resources. Step two determine how far you can get with your resources. Step three pray about it and tell your goal to God. Step four refine your goal to the goal God wants you to acheive( because you forgot that your greatest resource is the power of God that will be with you :)) Step five break down your goal into smaller goals that are easy to measure on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis. Step six set up some form of accountability, whether that be with a friend, parent, leader (basically anyone you trust). Then get down on your knees and give your commitment to God and hold yourself accountable to him. Step 8 start right away towards accomplishing it. Step 9 measure completion of your goals often and give constant gratitute to leaders, parents and particularly God. And Finally set a new goal to start towards the next thing right before you finish your goal so that you are constantly growing and become more :) It is easier to keep a train going then to get it going again after it has stopped :) Anyways i love you all so much and hope you have an amazing new year! I wish you all good luck on your goals and can't wait to see us all together at the point of our biggest goal. Returning to our father in heaven to live with him forever! :)
